It's been long since the times the - - - ing darkness was what I turned to- yes, the dashes are what 'nothing' sound like, but you wouldn't know because I was the girl that talked too much but you were the boy who always listened. Now I miss your stupid glow-in-the-dark rocket-ships on your ceiling where we created our own universe- but I can't see any of that anymore…

Hot feet on cold roads, hear that slapslapslapping on the asphalt? That's me; running after your memory. You took away your jacket so I'm gonna  be chilled to the bone but at least I'll know that I can still feel and maybe you weren't my everything- but who am I kidding, you came damn close. Could I sell my frozen tears as saltwater pearls and buy a few more second chances?  …
